Jack Hardy - May 15, 1999

The Vanilla Bean, Pomfret, Connecticut

Who but Jack Hardy could/would give an entire show of songs written after his last album? That's exactly what Jack did at the Vanilla Bean. The newest songs were "The Sword in the Stone," about an event at the club of that name in Boston in 1968, and "Conspiracy of Sisterhood."

Jack was ably accompanied by Mike Laureanno on bass and background vocals. Mike is in Jack's band that will tour Europe this summer and play the main stage at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival this July. Jack and Mike also joined Carl Cacho, who delivered a sharp opening set, on a couple of songs.

Jack's set:

  1. Memory
  2. Only One Sky
  3. Síle na gcioch (Sheila) (Jack on mandolin)
